RUET Preliminary Exam today

The Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) Preliminary admission test for the 2024-2025 academic year is set to take place Saturday (February 8). Thousands of aspiring students will compete to secure a seat in one of Bangladesh’s top engineering institutions.

University officials have reported that 19,915 candidates have registered for the test, while only 1,235 seats are available. This means about 17 students will compete for each seat. The announcement was made during a press conference at RUET on Friday (February 7) afternoon.

RUET Admission 2025: Exam Schedule and Format

To manage the large number of applicants, the pre-selection test will be held in three shifts:

  • First Shift: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Second Shift: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
  • Third Shift: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

The university has published the shift schedules and roll numbers on its official website. The pre-selection test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates who pass this test will qualify for the final written exam on February 20.

RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S.M. Abdur Razzak confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to conduct the exam smoothly. Speaking at the press conference, he said, “We have taken all possible steps to ensure a fair admission test. Strict monitoring will be in place to prevent any misconduct.”

Candidates who pass the pre-selection exam will sit for the final written test on February 20. This test will decide the final list of students admitted to RUET for the upcoming academic session.
